Alfred Sheppard is an emerging composer and keyboardist based in Los Angeles.
Born into a musical family, Alfred started playing the piano at the age of three. Throughout his life, he’s won numerous awards, including the NAACP ACT-SO competition for his original symphonic work, “Nightmare of a Veteran,” and the Bay Area Idol competition for his virtuosic piano performance. He went on to graduate Cum Laude with a music degree from the University of South Florida.
Alfred has garnished a reputation among many well-established filmmakers. His undying passion for serving the story is apparent throughout every conversation with a director or producer. He’s written epic orchestral works for those vast, sweeping landscape scenes as well as pulsing electronic music for those tense finger-biting moments. He’s well versed in DAWs such as Pro Tools and has a vast knowledge of music theory and the orchestra.
He also tours with award-winning singer/songwriter Mandy Harvey, who delivers amazing performances despite her profound hearing loss. On June 6, 2017, they appeared on America's Got Talent and earned Simon Cowell’s Golden Buzzer. Alfred currently works as her music director, and they continue to perform around the world.
Alfred continues to show devotion to his craft and is always ready to collaborate with other passionate creatives.
